Instrument Building and Music

Gongs such as this one
will be forged by
participants
Manfred has worked for many years to develop an original series of instruments. Many of his instruments are based on well know instruments, but have been developed further. They have a beautiful, rich tone and solid construction. The processes of building and playing are unified in Manfred's work.
Participants will construct their choice of instrument(s) (triangle, glockenspiel, gong or tone rods), and will complete the course with a finished instrument. Depending on level of experience and the speed of work, participants may have the chance to build more than one instrument.
Design, materials and construction will create a high quality instrument that will last a lifetime. This course promises to bear valued treasure for teachers, parents, composers, musicians, craftsmen and anyone interested in the creation of music, instruments and tone.
